Tim practices primarily in criminal law and is available to appear in trials, contested hearings, committal hearings, pleas, bail applications and post-sentence supervision applications. Tim also accepts briefs to appear in quasi-criminal matters such as regulatory and disciplinary tribunals, and in administrative, public law and employment matters.

Tim joined the Bar with 12 years of experience as an in-court advocate. He has extensive experience of contested advocacy in state and federal offences gained whilst employed at Victoria Legal Aid and the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service. Whilst at VALS, Tim supervised the indictable practice. Before joining the bar Tim prosecuted serious indictable offences as a Principal Solicitor at the Office of Public Prosecutions.
In 2016 Tim was accredited as a criminal law specialist by the Law Institute of Victoria. Tim has particular expertise in homicides, sexual offences and drug trafficking. He has significant experience appearing in the Magistrates’ and County Koori Courts as a solicitor advocate and as counsel.
Tim started his career in private practice where he managed diverse criminal, commercial and employment practice, before moving to an in house role where he conducted high value taxation enforcement litigation.
