Margaret is a Barrister at Chalfont Chambers, Sydney. She specialises in Equity, Inquests, Probate, Property Law, Succession Law, Trusts and Wills.
Margaret attained qualifications in Nursing and worked as a registered nurse in a variety of roles and locations before commencing the Diploma in Law administered by the Legal Practitioners Admission Board in 1995.
Margaret completed the Advanced Practitioners Certificate in Arbitration and Mediation through the University of Technology, Sydney, in 1999. In 2000 she completed the Diploma in Law and was employed at the Public Trustee (now the NSW Trustee & Guardian). Margaret was admitted as a solicitor in February 2001.
Margaret’s role with the Public Trustee (NSW Trustee & Guardian) specialised in Equity litigation involving deceased estates, particularly matters involving testamentary capacity and claims for Family Provision, as well as Probate and Trust matters. She completed the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Practitioners’ Certificate in Mediation in 2003, and was awarded a Master of Jurisprudence from the University of Sydney in 2007. She was admitted to the bar in 2010.
