Ian was admitted to the NSW Bar in 1996, before taking silk in 2013. Prior to this, he worked as a solicitor at Allen Allen & Helmsley and was tipstaff to Justice Noel Hemmings at the Land and Environment Court of NSW. His main areas of practice are environment and planning, resumption and valuation, administrative law, and property law. Ian’s practice sees him appear regularly in the NSW Land and Environment Court and the Court of Appeal. He is the past President of the Environment and Planning Law Association.
