A graduate of University of NSW, Professor Newhouse has had nearly 30 years of experience working in law in Australia and in the United Kingdom. He is Australian legal practitioner and a certified practicing accountant (CPA). George leads the National Justice Project, a not for profit legal service that advances human rights through evidence based advocacy, strategic litigation, research and conducting test-case litigation in particular for those in need. George has established a Social Justice Clinic at Macquarie University and also teaches Advocacy there. He is a former local Councillor and a former Mayor of Waverley Council.
