Principal Consultant, McLay Legal Consulting, Melbourne

Fiona helps law firms transform how they work and deliver value to their clients. Having worked across the legal industry in top tier, mid tier, small firm, a NewLaw firm and in-house, she has an insider’s view of how firms across the industry are actually using (or not using) tech.

Fiona has certifications in legal project management (LPM) and a graduate diploma in legal business management from the College of Law. She is the author of Tech Enabled Lawyer: a practical guide on becoming a tech enabled lawyer in any law firm. It offers practical framework on how to get the most out of the tech you have and how to spot the tech you need.

As the founder of McLay Legal Consulting, Fiona offers advisory, facilitation, and tech implementation services to law firms and legal departments that want to improve their processes, systems, and tech tools. She also provides tech training and education, tailored to the specific needs and goals of each team.

Fiona is a teaching fellow at the College of Law and a geeky guru at the Centre for Legal Innovation Legalpreneurs Lab. She facilitates a free monthly discussion at the Legaltech Confab where insights and expertise on the nitty gritty of legal technology implementation and adoption are shared.
