David’s practice focuses predominantly on Family Law, including both parenting and property matters, following the breakdown of a marriage or de facto relationship. He also has experience in ADVO matters and proceedings commenced under the Succession Act.
David was admitted as a Solicitor in 1998 after completing the SAB whilst working as a Clerk in Family Law. Following his admission as a Solicitor, David spent 41/2 years practicing in a suburban Family Law firm before making the leap to join the Bar. Admitted to the bar in 2002, David first commenced practicing at Edmund Barton Chambers before joining Waratah Chambers as one of its founding members in 2008.
David was appointed Senior Counsel in 2023 and was recently named by the Doyle’s Guide as one of the preeminent Family & Divorce Law Junior Counsel in Australia.
